Which you said you already know how to do, but just in case someone reading this doesn't: OKAY so first off, you need to disable Windows Ink Workspace. Luckily, I've found a solution that has worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you.

Just built a new PC specifically for drawing (in Sai) only to have Windows pee the bed. Hello! I feel your pain, as I've been having the same problem. This """"""Creators Update"""""" is by far the biggest obstacle to creators and artists that has ever been pushed out. Either way, I can't do my work like this. I can only conclude that this is either hard-coded into the OS and not removable, or there's someplace I'm missing I've tried disabling Windows Ink workspace, disabling Windows Ink, messing with registry keys and everything in between. I cannot draw smoothly while trying to wrestle
I literally cannot use Paint Tool Sai like this. Or find a way to phase out this stabilizer. So, to Microsoft: Make it so disabling Windows Ink actually entirely disables Windows Ink. Programs results in interference from Windows Ink's useless stabilizer. However, it doesn't recognize programs like Paint Tool Sai or FireAlpaca, and so trying to draw in these This problem does not happen in Photoshop, seeing as Windows is programmed to recognize that application and let Photoshop's settings work on their own. This might be useful for someone who's not used to using a tablet, but being an artist I absolutely do not need my computer "interpreting" my lines and trying to correct them, much less INSTEAD OF the stabilizer in the program I'm actually using. Obviously, what it's supposed to do is draw a clean, smooth line, but this input lag is causing a hook when drawing a stroke and making it impossible to draw a simple curved line.Īfter trying a wide variety of solutions (and every single one of them failing), I've figured out that the cause of this problem is the stabilizer built into Windows Ink that's supposed to straighten out your lines and make your handwriting look "neater."
